hi. hello. and welcome. i'm jodie allen and i'd love to be your photographer! i'm rarely alone though... i'm sure you all know kim weiss, she is the baby whisperer and hands down one of the best photographers out there. she's at all of our newborn sessions and maybe a few others when she's not wrangling her seven kiddos! you will also get to know katie mohr, stylist extraordinaire, at some point too. she is a master at making good into great! i also couldn't live without missy lang, my incredible assistant. she's at most of our classes, runs all mini sessions and is just always there to make my life easier. we have an awesome team and we all love what we do. in fact, we're utterly passionate about it! allow us to capture your life, learn your story and create memories you'll treasure for a lifetime! thanks for stopping by!

SPRING!

Oh man oh man! I feel it! It’s coming… slowly but surely… the weather is warming up and the sun is out!

We have a senior session later today and I can’t wait! Great light, warm temps (50′s), beautiful sky and a gorgeous girl!

You have no idea how happy I am to feel spring in the air… it seriously lightens my mood and makes ALL the difference!

Before we shoot Becca I’m taking the kids to the transportation museum here in St. Louis… I’ve never been there so I’m excited to see all the trains! And get the kids running around! Then “new Abby” (Kim’s daughter) is watching my kiddos while we work AND THEN the kids are going to my inlaws so C and I can have DATE NIGHT!

OMG we need this! And for us, date night on a budget is eating hotdogs at the Webster basketball game! HA! We’re such nerds! But we’re cheering hard for the WG to bring home another state championship this year!

Wow. Can you tell this day is making me all kinds of excited? HA!

    Wow! Love the book – you are so creative. That photo of the mom and babe amongst those tall lilies (or whatever they are) is one of my ALL TIME favs of yours. I’m just super jealous, cause I want one of me!

    i am loving your blog and work. i saw this book that you put together on design aglow and would love to know how you pulled out just one of those shapes to make them huge on pages of your book’s inside. also how you then manipulated the same shape but made it horizontally longer to accommodate that back of the book. i’m working on putting together a book similar to this and wondered if you’d mind sharing. i’m sort of hoping you’d be willing to share? i’m still junior level in photoshop tricks at this level.
