You wouldn’t believe these photos if you were like me yesterday and had to scrape ice from your windows before taking the kids to school, but just a few days prior we had this little one outside and naked! St. Louis weather is insane!
But OH SO glad it cooperated with us for this mini session! We don’t normally offer newborn mini sessions but we wanted to get a newborn outside before the leaves feel and Kathy was totally up for it! So one hour, two poses and some mommy-cuddle time was all it took to get some super sweet shots of this third addition to the Westbrook family! Thanks for being so flexible Kathy! We hope you love them!
And just because we snagged these I thought I’d share two working shots…

Tara and her family go to our church and I’m so lucky to be able to call her my friend! Tara is awesome and her boys are hysterical, which you’ll see from their photos! It’s been great to watch her boys get older because I see hope for Grayson! He might always be a wild boy but he just might someday listen to me! HA! Tara brought the boys out to our mini sessions a few weeks ago and she’s been SO patient for us to catch up on our sneak peeks!

Thanks Brendan and Owen and Tara! We love you guys!

More teacher love today! All three of these girls hold a very special in my heart.
Emma is an amazing girl who (close your eyes, Emma) I would LOVE to arrange a marriage to my Jonathan to. She was that girl that he’s never minded playing with or joking with, even though girls are really gross. Emma’s just great, and sweet, and kind, and funny, and we love her! She’s always been gorgeous, but the older she gets, the more downright STUNNING she is.
Then there is Laura, one of my Gracie’s BFFs. Hilarious doesn’t begin to touch her humor… yeah, those beautiful blue eyes and adorable freckles draw you in, but the humor, oh the humor.
Lastly, Michelle, mom to these fabulous girls, a gifted teacher (who I hope isn’t cringing at my grammar!), and most of all a great friend. I could gush on about her, but mostly, she will forever hold that special place as “THE” teacher in my Abby’s life that made such a huge impact. She’ll get all humble and say she doesn’t get it, but she gave an awkward 7th grade girl some confidence that I just couldn’t give her… the assurance that the things she was feeling were okay and normal. And she definitely gets the credit for Abby’s love of English and Literature and how well she performs in these subjects even now. So we are forever grateful for her parts in our lives!
Thanks for coming out, girls! Hope you love these!

Henry | St. Louis Children’s Photographers

I was so excited when Bailey’s sweet teacher was able to bring her son to our mini sessions! He’s the cutest little man and I’m so glad to know a little guy I can pass Gray’s clothes down to since I only have nieces and no nephews! But of course, as cute and sweet as Henry is, I’ve gotten to know his mom better so far this school year. Carrie has been such a blessing to our family. Bailey LOVES school and it’s all because of her. From day one when Bailey saw her straight hair she was in love! Bailey covets straight hair, poor kid! HA!
Anyway, we love her. And I hope I can get to know HER even better this year. Get to know her as a person, a woman, a mom… because I know she’s an amazing teacher so she must be an even more amazing person outside of school!

Carrie brought her mom along and although Carrie REFUSED to get in any shots we were able to capture Grandma with Henry and I love them! I’d love something like this of my mom with my kids!
Thanks for bringing Henry all the way downtown Carrie! And thanks for teaching my baby girl this year… Kindergarten is so important and we’re so lucky to have you as her teacher!

Let me first introduce you to my new friend Adriane. Do you ever meet someone and just pray you’ll get to be their friend? That’s how it was with her. I adore her. She’s an incredible mom, her children are so well behaved and she has the kindest heart. She’s just someone you want close to you and I can’t wait to get to know her better! Our kids are in preschool AND grade school together which means we’ll be meeting every morning at the playground for years to come! Such a blessing to me!
And now I’ll let you meet her adorable kids!
Ahren is the oldest and in half-day kindergarten next to Bailey’s full-day classroom!

Then there’s Lydia. She’s in Parker’s preschool class and Parker loves her! The one that truly loves her though is Grayson! He has the BIGGEST crush on her!

And Annie. She’s hysterical is a super quiet way. She looks so innocent and then she talks with the most unexpected gravely voice that cracks me up every time!

Finally, Maria. She is the cutest kid with the biggest blue eyes you’ve ever seen. She’s adorable and I can’t wait to watch her personality blossom!

Thanks for letting us photograph your kiddos Adriane!

email issues
Posted on October 25, 2010
I’ve had three calls today from people who emailed us through the contact page on the blogsite but never heard back. I just tried it myself and it seems our email is down somehow. Kim, our internet guru, will take a look after she finishes carpool for her million kids tonight! HA!
SO!
If you’ve emailed us recently through the site or not (because who knows if anything else is acting up?) please resend your note or inquiry to me, Jodie, at jodie@freshartphotography.com b/c that email seems to be working fine! Or if you have a question for Kim her email is kim@freshartphotography.com.
Thanks for your patience while we figure this mess out!
And to tease you with a newborn MINI session we did OUTSIDE the other day…
More to come soon! The blog is suffering a bit because of BUSY season but we’ll catch up one of these days!
