So I came across THIS website via Shannon Sewell and I immediately signed up! How can you not?
This weeks challenge?

I think this is awesome. And although Kim and I aren’t really that far along on our journey as photographers we might be ahead of where you are right now. So this week, with inspiration from Shannon, we’d like to give back to YOU. Awesome idea! I’d love some help learning about picture composition and post processing in Lightroom and or PS.
I would like to talk about your work flow. I started taking pictures and learning photoshop on 6.0 and I just now am upgrading to CS5 and lightroom.
I think that work you guys do with your baby clients is awesome. I’m a beggining photographer who has taking photography classes to help in aiding in my art. I love love love being a photographer and would love to be able to speak with you guys about a few things. I’m so glad you blogged about this. I have reached out to several pro-photogs on FB and have not gotten any returned comment or feedback. What’s also interesting is I just posted something about this on FB the other day…about helping out others who are in the spot you were once in.
You guys could help this crazy mom with a camera with some basic workflow tips…I’m overwhelmed with options and just trying to find *my* style:)
I’m pretty far along on my photo journey, but there is always something to learn. I would love to pick your brain(s) about lighting and favorite processing tips/actions to get your “vintage” look. I’d also love some hints on how to transfer a sleeping babe from prop to prop. I always seem to wake them up. But I’d sure be ok if you helped out someone who is just starting out.
I’d love to talk to you guys about what you do to keep yourself challenged artistically. I find that I’m struggling with “enjoying the journey” and I just get frustrated with where I am (because I always want to be better). How do you keep the balance of consistent work (that the client expects because they’ve seen your work) and keeping yourself artistically challenged? …and the new processing is DIVINE… love to know what you did there too
I would love to have an hour session to pick your brains about so many areas where I feel I fall flat in regards to photography. However, I just want someone to email me back about the session I won from the Fresh Mom contest back in JUNE! Feeling Frustrated, Claire.
How fun! I do not have any aspirations to become a professional photographer, just to get better pictures of my own family. I started shooting on manual; now I need some help refining the process, and I also need to learn how to use Photoshop Elements so I can do some editing!

You were some of the first photographers that I started following when I started out in photography about 9 months ago and I love that your work has set the bar high for me. If I had one hour to spend with one of you I would love to discuss what you feel is the key to a successful photography business along with any decisions that you wish you could have changed. I would also like to learn more about your workflow along with any other advice that you could provide.
I can’t believe you don’t have more comments already! Maybe it’s early.
I have a professional camera (Canon 5D) and I feel like I have a *pretty good* grasp of it, but I don’t really know more than the very basics with post-processing. I have your work of my family up on the wall right next to mine, and I now have a deep appreciation for you two as professionals, and that it takes a whole lot more than having a good camera to be a good photographer! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your work on my wall, and in general, and would love to learn about how you get your images crisp and clean and beautiful! I don’t really have intentions of becoming a business, just want to have beautiful artsy images of my kids.

How sweet of you guys to do this! I personally would love to just talk to another professional about the business in general. Im still starting off and seem to have a hard time getting the clients for what my target style would be. I’d like to know how/where to start to build the client base. Where to start with pricing, marketing, etc. I absolutely LOVE the vintage feel, and wouldn’t mind chatting about how you post process (I use Lightroom/photoshop) and how you achieve getting the cute little ones posed. That may be more then an hour, but I’ll cut back
I think it’d be way more awesome to hang out… but I’d take a phone conversation any day! LOL

I would really love some marketing ideas…I have some, but I am constantly second-guessing myself and discouraged because I, as many of us, are trying to get business in a photographer-saturated area…any encouragement and ideas would be great!
