Happy Monday friends! It’s February which is the shortest month of the year (YAY! I’m SO tired of winter!) AND has one of my favorite holidays! I love Valentine’s Day! Every year we make homemade heart-shaped pizzas, drink strawberry soda from glass bottles and eat a heart-shaped funfetti cake I actually make (instead of using the best baker in town!). The kids get small gifts at dinner and it’s just a super sweet family night. One of my favorites. THIS YEAR however, Chris surprised me and we’re taking two days off to go hiking and stay at our family lake house KID FREE! I am beyond excited you guys! We will still have our family tradition but I think I will surprise them with it one day next week! Some fun things to share this month so let’s get this newsletter started! |

VALENTINE MINIS WERE A HUGE SUCCESS! |

Thanks to all the families that brought their kids out for a Valentine Mini two weeks ago! 18 families in all and 38 kids total! WOW it was a fun day! I will be announcing SPRING MINIS soon (might send out a quick newsletter with details in a couple of weeks) so watch for those! One of my favorite parts of this mini was that a week later we had a PAINTING SESSION! You guys – this was amazing! SO FUN! I’d love to do this with other kids so if you’re interested let me know – we can provide the hand-drawn backdrop and paints – you just bring your cute kiddo! |

ANYONE LOVE TO HIKE? |

This year I would LOVE to start capturing more lifestyle family photos and one thing I’d love to book (bucket list item!) is a hiking session! Our family LOVES to hike. We are working to do all 60 hikes in THIS book before Bailey graduates high school and we will easily make this happen! We go as often as we can but mostly in the fall/winter/early spring when the bugs aren’t as bad. If anyone would ever be interested in having me tag along while your family hikes please let me know! |

OK friends! A few fun links and then I’m out! Last night I madeTHIS and we all loved it! I just reheated some for lunch and it was still super yummy! THIS made the short list of gifts I’d love to surprise the kids with – maybe they’ll get a group gift for Valentine’s Day this year! Speaking of Valentine’s Day – if you want some cute ideas check out my Pinboard HERE! I have a newborn next week and mom has requested a “woodland” theme so this weekend I made a nest kind of like THIS one – the moss was such a huge mess I thought Chris was going to kill me! HA! I love that shop but knew I could make it myself. Here are some other favorite newborn shops – ONE, TWO and THREE.
